Amaina Christian Center is a local-based Christian community located in Brgy. Monteverde, Socorro, Oriental Mindoro. Going there, it takes 7 hours to get to the place from Manila wherein we take a bus (Jam) in Buendia going to Batangas Pier, from batangas pier, we will need to take a ferry boat going to Calapan, from Calapan we will have to travel 58 km to Socorro and additional 30 minutes or so on a tricycle going to Amaina in Brgy. Monteverde which is on top of the mountains. Being a fifth class municipality, the long road to Monteverde were a combination of cemented, asphalted, and rough roads.

Amaina was derived from the tagalog term Ama (father) and Ina (mother) because the community is founded by a family and not an organization. The worshiping building has a design patterned with that of Salakot Hall in PCU Dasmarinas. It has a circle shape which signifies eternity and 10 posts which signifies each and every member of the family who donated fundings for the church to be built.

The people within the community belong to those whom are less fortunate as they lack education and even nutritious foods. Many of them are children and it will definitely be a very big help even if we try to extend a little of our blessings to them.

Around 2,000 people more or less situated in the mountains of Socorro town, Oriental Mindoro. Monteverde is a fifth class barangay, meaning, more than 70 percent of the people are living below poverty level.

The target beneficiary is AMAINA CHRISTIAN CENTER. They have a preschool (which needs a lot of feeding program and children's vitamins), a high school tutorial program, a youth group of 39 young people, and a worshipping congregation of 50. The people here need nutritious food, adult literacy, and a developmental program that will fit their context.
